In her cabaret debut, Cynthia sings and tells tales of growing up insecure yet optimistic, as she played piano and sang her way through life.  There was always music in her Colorado childhood where she was inspired by her jazz trombone-playing father while she sang madrigals in high school.  Then to New York, where creativity, inspiration and opportunity were all around.  Directed by Lennie Watts and musical directed by Steven Ray Watkins, Cynthia sings songs such as "If I Sing”, “Alto’s Lament”, “There’s Got to Be Something Better Than This”, Lawrence Rush’s beautiful “Path Through the Green" and the song that inspired the title, Stephen Schwartz’s “The Spark of Creation.”
